         Lisa specializes in senior care malpractice defense and medical malpractice defense advising clients and representing them in claims and litigation in Nebraska and Iowa.  She draws on her 25 years of legal experience to represent insurers, long-term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, physicians, nurses and hospitals in litigation.  She offers dedicated representation to both nonprofit and for-profit entities. 

     

         Allegations of nursing home neglect or abuse can negatively impact the operation of any long-term care facility.  It is vital to present the strongest possible defense against any potentially damaging allegations.  Lisa offers proactive, diligent representation to nursing homes and other facilities against all kinds of claims, including:  

    • Slip and falls
    • Bedsores, decubitus ulcers
    • Elopement/wandering
    • Improper medication
    • Improper nutrition or dehydration

         Lisa utilizes her vast experience to retain experts, conduct appropriate discovery, prepare necessary dispositive motions and defend her clients from the demand letter stage to mediation or trial.  

     

         Lisa also has an active workers’ compensation defense practice which includes 25 years of experience in litigating contested work injury cases for workers’ compensation insurers and helping them navigate Nebraska’s workers’ compensation system. 

     

         Lisa is from Waterloo, Iowa and resides in Omaha, Nebraska with her husband and two daughters.
