Our firm has skilled and experienced attorneys who represent real estate developers in projects throughout the United States. Many of these developments require extensive conversation and negotiation with governmental entities regarding land use, platting and the government entitlements available for these projects. We represent developers through all stages of the development process, including:
- Development Agreements
- Easements and Licenses
- Equipment Financing
- Formation, Operation and Dissolution of Sanitary and Improvement Districts
- Platting and Zoning
- Tax Increment, EEA and PACE Financing and other Government Entitlements
Our attorneys represent real estate developers in the formation of Nebraska sanitary and improvement districts (SIDs). SIDs are political subdivisions uniquely authorized by Nebraska statutes, which are used to construct, operate and maintain public facilities such as streets, sanitary and storm sewers, water systems, other utilities, parks and sidewalks for residential, commercial, mixed-use and industrial developments.
Our services include SID formation and continuous services until the SID is dissolved upon annexation by the governing municipality. It requires personal attention to detail, creativity and complete knowledge of the Nebraska laws applicable to SIDs in order to form and operate an SID. Attorneys at our firm collectively have nearly 100 years of SID representation and have represented more than 150 SID’s over the years.
